Garage 1 at St. David’s Medical Center

The hospital itself is fantastic we've been coming here for years the staff is wonderful the doctors are the best, Used to be when I had to pick up my elderly father who is 86 now a 100% disabled wartime vet who is being treated Criminal by the parking people because he is so sick these days with his diabetes and his ongoing heart issues several times now that he is handed me his driver's license to go retrieve his car for him to be picked up when released they have absolutely raked us over the holes and treated us Criminal pointing out their sign at the exit gate senior must be present we paid once the hospital apologized and reimbursed us and said this policy will be changed now I've had to go back twice and they're actually sending us threatening texts while he's trying to heal saying t

Warning! They removed the ticket system and now you have to pay by smart phone. It is a metropolis parking garage now. They use your licence plate sort of like toll roads do. If your phone battery dies, you don't have a phone, or you have trouble using your phone from in the garage your trapped until someone who works there shows up. I was there September 10th 2025.

Awful experience with this new metropolis system. Have to install an app and give them your personal banking or credit card info as you stand in garage. All just to park and visit…incredibly intrusive and totally out of bounds.

BEWARE THE COVERED PARKING: No ENTRY SIGNAGE warning you that to exit free, you must have the Age 65 or Disabled Veteran in THE CAR, their D.L. is unacceptable. If your patient is ILL. TO BAD, YOU DONT GET TO EXIT FREE TO PICK THEN UP AT Garage-4 OR THE E.R. Garage Staff is RUDE, ARGUMANITIVE, DEGRADING, NOT WILLING TO DISCUSS MATTERS. IF St. DAVIDS was not such a great place, with friendly Staff, we would GO ELSEWHERE!!!! TRY TO AVOID THIS UNPLEASANT AND THREATENING COLLECTION OF TROUBLE, STRESS, THREATS ABD WORSE. ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE. WONDER HOW St Davids EVER SIGNED A CONTRACT WITH ThESE AWFUL PEOPLE???? BE WARNED AND BEWARE!!!! SUGGEST YOU PARK ELSEWHERE

System is designed to discourage people from using over-65 or Veteran exemptions. Parking garage is a revenue center. St. David’s is a for-profit HCA entity. Garage is not maintained, poorly lit, dirty, and expensive.
