We purchased our home last year in Morningside and absolutely love it! The house is surrounded by trees which hardly makes it feel like you’re minutes from midtown and all the city has to offer… However, that also means getting adequate sunshine for grass to grow is very problematic and so part of our backyard has mostly consisted of grass and mud... a real joy when you have 2 large dogs and have to wipe paws every time they go out. We met Cole from Garden Atlantic Landscaping looking to transform our backyard into something much more functional and generally low maintenance so we can finally start enjoying our backyard (and not wipe paws). My husband and I had a fantastic experience with Garden Atlantic Landscaping. Cole, the owner came out to our house to meet with us and to discuss what type of plants and trees we like, what colors we wanted in the pallet, and what our budget was. Then Jay, his designer came out to see our yard, get our thoughts and answer any questions that we had. His team arrived early and worked hard the entire day. The whole project took 2 1/2 days. All the workers were very professional and friendly. Cole was there overseeing the entire project. They were so accommodating that they even built raised beds for a vegetable garden in the back yard. We now have a beautiful front and back yard that we are very proud of. We would highly recommend Garden Atlantic Landscaping for all your gardening needs! 5

My yard had been neglected for years. Cole’s team came out and quickly made it curbside appealing again. Then Cole helped me think how to landscape in a shady yard with variety. His team did such a great job that I came back and asked for even more plants! He’s a great listener, and always stayed in communication with me. Really all I did was take some pictures in my neighborhood of ideas that I liked, and Cole took my information and brought the ideas into reality. His team installed a really nice fire pit, too. I will use him for additional plants in the spring.

Cole and team did an amazing job transforming our dated yard! Jay was super helpful with an intentional design that we could phase over time. The whole team hung in there for the long haul- plan reviews, redesigns, installation and more. Cole’s patience and ability to adjust as needed based on feedback helped us finalize an amazing end product. The amazing experience didn’t stop there- the team that joined for install was professional, knowledgeable, and so friendly. Ansel helped us make on the fly adjustments as everything was brought to life. We are proud of how our home looks on the outside now and can’t wait to do more (note: our grass is one of those things we want them to do next!)

Cole Stewart and Garden Atlantic transformed our back yard to a place we can now enjoy. I contacted some corporate outfits and they stated there be months to get to us. Cole had our job finished two weeks after making the request. His crew finished our project while we were away for a long weekend and we were beyond satisfied. I couldn’t recommend working with him more. Extremely professional, thorough, and great craftsmanship.
