Gate Openers Direct

I reached out to Gate Openers Direct to purchase a particular brand and model. Jay provided me with another option that not only has more features, has a higher load rating, costs less by couple of hundred dollars and has a better warrantee (3 more years). Jay was more than helpful in answering all my questions. I have installed several automated gates for customers over the years and have used Viking, Apollo, Door king to name a few. The operator Jay recommended was the Viking L-3. Jay also assisted in questions I had for the rest of the periphery components required for a complete install for the Slide Gate. Cannot recommend these people. Would not except a simple return a few days after ordering item even though the package was never opened. Should have ordered it on Amazon, but trying to help small business people when possible, would have been an easy return on Amazon.

I purchased a Viking R6 gate opener and accessories from Gate Openers Direct. I had previously purchased and installed Ram, Lift Master, Ghost and Apollo gate openers. The quality of the Viking opener exceeds the others. I particularly like the circuit board interface — much easier to see and make connections. The store has multiple gate operators open and on display which really facilitates selection. Their technical support is stellar - they know their product well. The opener will be installed in the mountain at 7000 ft elevation so freezing weather is an issue. I connected all the peripherals and power in Texas to test everything before traveling to the mountains. The gate operator has internal heating elements.
