GBS Sod & Landscape

Great company. They hauled in sand/topsoil and built a beautiful patio using paver blocks. They also replaced a lot of sod. I highly recommend them.

GBS sod installed some sod in my front yard. I installed Zoysia grass, as that is a personal preference. Caesar (the owner) and his team did an excellent job. Caesar does large jobs during the week and small jobs (like mine) on Saturdays. Caesar owns all the machines that are needed to do high quality sod installation. These same machines are available for the smaller jobs. In the past, I have had very bad experiences with sod installation. One of the reasons is that most of these contractors do not have the machines that are necessary to do a good job. In addition, Caesar's team are highly competent with sprinklers, whether it is to move one or if a stump has to be removed and that damages the sprinkler pipe. I highly recommend GBS sod.

I purchased 2 pallets of Bahia sod that I had delivered. I received 2 very different quality pallets. Unfortunately I was unable to be there for the delivery or I would have rejected the one pallet. I was never given the option to reject the pallet as my check was cashed immediately after delivery. One pallet went down just fine (only reason for the 2 stars), the other was pretty much a waste, very poor quality and super thin cut pieces that were all rooted together. They refused to refund or even do anything to make it right, instead blamed the installer and "time of year". I'm stuck with a pile of dirt and a couple of useable sheets that I was able to salvage, photos show the pallet at near the top and partway through it. Ordered 7 pallets of sod for delivery. Everything went smooth and the sod looks great!! Will definitely do business with again and highly recommend!

Hired GBS to do irrigation and landscaping work. Purchased grown established plants from them for double the price of smaller plants as was recommended by them if we didn't want to wait for plants to mature. They said if anything happens to any of the plants they would replace them. It appears that drip irrigation they installed was not done properly. The plants do not appear to get sufficient water and started to wilt. We've asked GBS to come inspect and confirm the issue and help us fix it. They've been promising to stop by several times but it's now been several months and still no attempt by GBS to make it right. Do not recommend this company. If there is any issue after they cash your check, you'll be on your own.
