My new GE dishwasher quit after only 2 yrs! My microwave over the stove quit at yr 4! Now at 5 yrs, my refrigerator is making noises. I don't have the money to replace appliances I bought new less than 5 yrs ago! Total trash. Don't buy GE Appliances!
GE products: built for obsolescence? Bait-and-Switch? No product reliability? Purchased a GE microwave JVM 3160RF5S with 2-year warranty. At 2.5 year mark, digital panel began to showing flickering in background. Called in independent tech (figuring less repair cost, but analysis was $89.00) who said mother board was failing; likely to die any time. Emailed CEO about that time, no answer. Six months after, more flickering, so wrote snail mail to CEO. Month later, got series of emails, which required a month exchange back and forth. Upshot is that some Kathy (?) customer satisfaction (ha!) representative said they'd send part, just needed tech to provide part options. I sent those. After all of that Kathy said they'd send DISCOUNTED part! I said FORGET IT, and walked. Bought another bra
