BEWARE OF ACADEMY VINYL PLANK. This product claims to offer a Lifetime Warranty for residential installation; however, one week after the floor was installed scratch marks were left by our kitchen chairs that had felt pads on them. What kind of floor gets scratched by felt pads? When I contacted them, they sent it to the Claims Department. An adjuster came out, and it was determined that the floor is not defective but that scratches were made by the chairs - no kidding. I told them that! The point is not how they were made, but that the floor could not stand up against a felt pad. These floors are supposed to be pet-proof, kid-proof, etc. They forgot to mention that they are not felt pad-proof. Did my first job with your flooring and came out amazing. Way better then the home depot and Lowe's garbage thanks looking forward to many more jobs using your flooring.

My husband is a general contractor for 40 years and has used gen floors for a very long time. The customer service is horrible. Ordered rugs and pad and the pad wasn’t there when the carpet layer went to pick up. Rep says her manager will call and no call. Instead my husband calls and calls are routed to customer service in another state. The phone system is absolutely horrible. He told the woman he wouldn’t use them anymore if this doesn’t get fixed and no manager even called him back. Do NOT USE!

Be wary. I purchased a floor from them November 10th. It was on a slight backorder at that time but they pushed the backorder date to mid then late December. They never called me when it came in. When we received it the installer claimed the floor was defective. General says the installer is one of their best but won't do the right thing. They have sent claim inspectors that didn't show. They then sent an inspector that didn't inspect the product (only inspected the floor) and gave incorrect information in the report. Going into my fourth month trying to get a floor installed and their customer service is terrible. Would give 0 if possible. Are you in the buisness of selling floors or making accounts for people. How do I know if I want my contractor to use this place if you cant get any pricing.
