My 30 year old garage door operator needed to be replaced. Matt was the technician who installed the new unit. He was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. The installation was completed faster than I would have expected. He explained everything I needed to know about my new equipment and answered all of my questions. It was an excellent experience. I've had interactions with some of the other GOF team and found everyone I saw or spoke with to be courteous and friendly. My overall experience with GOF was great and I would highly recommend them to others.

I had a garage door and opener installed. The installer’s name was Ruffy, he was professional and very polite. He took the time to explain how to operate, program, and maintain the system. He was very knowledgeable, experienced, and took pride in his work paying attention to detail. The door and opener look beautiful and are definitely superior products. Leaving for work like any other day, opened my garage door but it wouldn't open. Tried several times, but nothing, stuck. I disengaged the garage door opener and tried to manually lift the door open. It wouldn't budge, struck. I'm thinking the door is frozen, the opener is broken, I could see the large springs and they were fine.. not broken. My garage is struck shut, no idea why, but I need to resolve this problem in order to open the door, and get ny car out to go to work! 2026-01-06 - My main garage door spring broke the day before New Year's Eve - Great timing for a disaster. I called Genie of Fairview and they sent out a tech to repair the door the very next day. Unfortunately, my door used a non-standard spring that was not in stock. Genie ordered the spring and called me as soon as it was received (2026-01-05) to schedule the repair for the next day. Alex came out to do the repair. Such a nice guy. I like to watch when repairs are done because I'm a curous guy. Alex didn't mind my standing around watching as he worked on the door. Once the springs were replaced, Alex balanced the door (an older heavy wooden door) and continued to balance and re-balance until he felt it was just right.
