Grade A Plumbing

Through American Home Shield, we got Grade A Plumbing as our service provider. It took about two to three weeks to get to the point of a repair for our water heater which was the only inconvenience for us. Brian came out today and did a phenomenal job. We really do appreciate that he came out in such harsh weather conditions, did everything quick and efficiently.

Adam came Friday to check on the hot water heater, as we were having issues. Monday I had a new one installed! Dylan and Randy were the installation crew! I asked questions and was given thorough answers. They completed the installation in less than 3 hours. Going forward I will have them maintain my heater and any other plumbing issues I may encounter.. thank you Grade A Plumbing!

At least one of their drivers is a grade-A hothead driver. The driver of a van with plate Z**-8002 (partially redacted for privacy) was observed speeding at 80+ mph in the far right lane on i95, impeding the flow of merging vehicles, failing to use a turn signal over the course of several miles and aggressive lane changes, and just generally driving like a road rager. That is not the type of person that I would trust with working within my home or business. I hope that management will discuss this issue with their driver before it further impacts their company's reputation.

I was quoted $5,200 to replace two hot water heaters, install expansion tanks, and two pans. A quick search on materials on Ferguson Plumbing supply had material costs at ~$1,500. That means they wanted $3,700 for labor. I received another quote all in for $3,400. Please do your homework and get multiple quotes so you don't get ripped off by these guys.

Grade A plumbing can’t be trusted. Avoid them at all cost! The plumber they sent diagnosed the water heater problem and lied about the root cause; the fault from the water heater NG valve clearly indicated (7 flashing lights) that only the Flammable Vapor Sensor is at fault, a part that costs only $30. He lied to me and made up a story that the fault was from the internal component of the water heater and should replace the whole unit which could’ve run me over $3000 in cost! Luckily I got a second opinion from a trusted plumber that fixed the sensor and got it working at 1/100 fraction of the cost!
