Everything seemed fine until the measurement. GCU measures with a laser (instead of with a tape measure) and I found out later this is not always the best way, as it does not take into account any nuances requiring an adjustment (e.g., the depth of the countertop). For a more modern look, I asked that the kitchen countertop not protrude over the cabinets too much, but I certainly expected it to extend over, and completely cover, the cabinets. Who wouldn't expect this? This is just common sense. However, after the installation and upon my return to NC, I was disappointed to find out that in some areas, the cabinet front protruded out further than the countertop. Not acceptable!
