Great Lakes Energy Co-Op

Terrible company that won't work with people in hard times. A payment was just made through DHS but they still shut us off with no warning on a Saturday (where there is conveniently no one to speak with). I suspect they are way overcharging as well. Too bad, no one else services the area. 66 for internet too. Awful

The services provided are adequate, but more professional interactions are needed by phone staff. In 1 phone call, two receptionists picked up their extensions with a "hello???", like a wrong number was dialed. Then I actually had to ask what department I was connected to. Then ask the name of whom I was talking to. A more professional, and appropriate, way to answer the phone is: "Hello, this is X with Billing, how may I help?" Hopefully moving forward more emphasis will be placed on service to the Members. Thank you.

I have had Great Lakes provide my service for many years and full time now that I live here full time. Though I occasionally lose power, that is to be expected in an area with many trees and spread out customers. I have always been treated with respect by the linemen and they work hard to restore my power, even when weather is not on their side. The metering system is up to date and allows for the company to know when I am out. I am proud to be a Great Lakes customer.

They’ve always been very reliable with service. Lots of Consumers Energy receivers (including our 2nd home) have lost power several times this year during rough storms but we have not had that issue. Not even once. The customer service agents do their jobs well and are also always friendly/understanding.

I rarely lose power, and if I do, it's for a short time. A lot of neighbors use Consumers energy and they have outages every storm. So happy to have great lakes energy.
