Green Mountain Timber Frames

Luke and his team brought a beautiful 1740’s era barn down to add as a great room and kitchen to our existing home in Water Mill, NY. We could not have asked for a more professional, talented, and extraordinary group of people to work with on this project. Not only do the barn frame and the beautiful antique roof boards exceed our expectations, Luke has been truly wonderful to work with from start to finish. Luke and his entire crew are all exemplary people. They are also extremely knowledgeable about all aspects of the process of re-erecting the frame in addition to being great timber framers. The farmhouse we purchased in Waterford in 2016 came with three connected barns and a corn crib from the early 1800s. Farming on the property had ceased in 1957. What to do about these historical structures that had sat empty for far too long was a real worry for us. Until we met Luke. He and his crew from Green Mountain Timber Frames were wonderful. They carefully removed our barns this past summer. It was a massive undertaking and impressive to watch. We learned so much from them. They also built us a cute little 16 X 20 timber frame barn using some of the beams, windows etc. salvaged from the project. A little of the barns history remains and we love that! We are looking forward to hearing about the Waterford Gunstock barn and corn crib's continued journey.

Their craftsmanship is something that this world doesn't have enough of. The attention to detail and passion is remarkable.
