I wish I could give Innovative Basement Authority a negative rating. Run away from this company as fast as you can. Beware- they are changing their name to Ground Works. Probably because of all the negative reviews. We paid a substantial amount of money to install one of their basement systems after having water problems. The initial sales guy was a very high-pressure seller, trying to get us to sign a contract the same day he came out. Fast forward a year. They told us they needed to come out for an inspection. The sales guy “found” $40,000 work of additional work that was “urgent”. He used scare-tactics and tried to convince us we needed to sign on the dotted line immediately. Jacob Kinsella conducted an annual inspection of the sump pump, crock, and discharge hoses Installed by groundwork about four years ago. Jacob was thorough, professional, and very attentive to any concerns that I have with my system. He Fixed any the normal corrosion that had built up after four years of use. He was very knowledgeable and capable. He made certain system was in perfect working order, including the back up battery. This gives me great comfort and relief knowing my system was ready for any upcoming snow melt or heavy rainfall. Jacob has conducted this inspections for the past three years and I am always impressed!

I called Groundworks due to a sinking sidewalk and driveway issue on my 1-year-old build that I had purchased 6 months ago. Groundworks sent out John Maness who was the most professional, and knowledgeable inspector i have ever dealt with when dealing with companies that provide home services! Even though the company is located in Fargo, they sent him out in less than a week, and he was willing to work around my busy work schedule. Had an indoor drain tile and sump system installed a number of years ago after having water issues with our basement. Installation team was easy to work with and friendly. Fast forward to a couple of years ago when we had an exceptionally wet winter and we again got water in our basement. I pulled out the dry wall and had someone stop by that summer to explain the issue with pictures of the problem areas. Seemed like the rep was unaware they had previously done work here. Once again, very friendly staff. He said he would touch base with the original team and get back to me. I never got contacted back, but fortunately the last couple of years have been dry. Dustin Gaudette at Ground Crew was great to work with. He communicated clearly throughout the entire process, was very approachable, and easy to talk to. You can tell he knows what he’s doing and takes pride in his work. Everything was handled efficiently and professionally. I’d definitely recommend Dustin and the Ground Crew team.
