So a less than 2 year old central air system sold and installed by Guardian died. They took 8 days (3 days of over 90+ degrees) to finally come look at it. Turns out that the compressor failed on this almost brand new system and they have to order one. Who knows how long we have to wait for the part to arrive and how long we have to wait after that for them to get around to fixing the junk machine they installed. Thanks Guardian. Update: After anther week of waiting for the compressor to arrive (they the last 4 days saying it should be here tomorrow), it finally showed up. When they were getting ready to install it, t hey discovered (i.e., they didn't check everything the first time) that it was just a capacitor that was bad. I’m very disappointed with the lack of customer service for the last year and a half. We have been told that we’re on the list to have a maintenance service on our heat pump. They have not come through with confirmation of where we are on this list and offer lame excuses as to why they run their business this way. If they are not here Monday between 1 and 4 it’ll be too late to reconsider this rating of 1. They finally worked us in to refill the Freon which was 4 pounds low. The service call lasted about 10 minutes and I’m relieved since we’re right in the middle of a heat wave.

Not sure why our AC decided to go out on one of the hottest days of the year (117!), but Guardian responded as quickly as they could and did a fantastic job of explaining the problem and the solution. Technician Matthew Smith should be an engineer! He pinpointed the source, and had all of the proper equipment and parts. There was one more problem that he honestly discussed with me. He said the capacitor was not working as it should have been. Matt told me to run a trickle of water on it overnight to cool the capacitor down. He could have easily told me that it was broken and charged me in excess of $1500, but he offered this solution that corrected the problem the following morning. Honesty and integrity is what I admire about Guardian. You’re on our “A List!” I would highly recommend them

My wife and I were very pleased with the timely service on our air conditioner, gas furnace, and remove and replace the water heater. Matt Smith did the reinstall of the air conditioning unit and also serviced the gas furnace. He did a great job even working overtime to make sure everything was working correctly. He explained everything to us and his personality was very personable. The men that removed and replaced the hot water heater also were very personable and answered all questions about the operation of the new heater. They did a great job on it. I appreciate Bill arranging to fix our problems in a timely fashion. There is no question that we will always be using Guardian for our cooling and heating needs.
