Guardian Pools

I really wanted to like this company because they started out great, but things quickly went downhill. After a few months, they began skipping services, which caused my pool to turn green multiple times. When I asked about it, they convinced me the issue was my filter. I trusted them and replaced it through their company—only to later find out they weren’t being honest. On top of that, my technician kept trying to sell me used products, and every time I raised concerns, the office completely ignored me. I’ve never been offered a refund or even an apology. At this point, it’s clear this company is run by con artists, and I would strongly warn anyone against using them.

It’s New Year’s Day 2026. Temperatures are in the 40s. I have family coming in and my pool heater doesn’t work. I call guardian on New Year’s Eve and got Jeremy who said, “ I can have Richard out to fix it in the morning.” Richard showed up early and diagnosed and fixed the problem right away. I can’t thank you guys enough!

We had Guardian Pools do our pool service for about 16 months. They had a problem with an employee (that seemed to be doing a good job for us.) In any case, we discontinued the service agreement with them on January 17th, before the January charges were due. They assured me that we would not be charged going forward. They ignored that service termination request and charged my credit card on January 20th. I called them multiple times to get the credit. They agreed that they would issue the credit but that never happened. I finally had to dispute the charge with my credit card. The owner, David, called us and makes claims about how he is dedicated to being a customer service guy. I was with guardian pools for about 17 months. They were inconsistent with their service for months. Some weeks they wouldn’t show up at all. Some weeks the pool would start turning green 2 days after they serviced it. I finally got fed up and canceled their service. I requested a refund for the month they didn’t show up for service. They verbalized they would provide a refund. One month later not only have they not given me my refund, they charged me for another month of service that they haven’t provided! I signed up for a pool service to save my family time and peace of mind. This company has done everything but that!

Too bad 1-star is the lowest rating because it’s too high for this company. Without a doubt, the worst company of any type that I’ve done business with. Paid for start-up service after my pool was resurfaced with Diamond Brite Onyx. They told me how important it was to have proper service twice a week for the first 3 weeks. Well into the 3rd week now and they have been here twice in total. Contacted David Frederick and asked why they weren’t coming out. He responded “someone will be there today”. No apology or explanation. Nobody has come. Then they had the nerve to charge my credit card for the weekly service that was to begin after the 3 weeks of twice-weekly service (they’ve come 2 out of the 6 visits I already paid for, which I was told were so important). I had to get another pool ser
