Guilford Garage

Went downtown to fight $130 double charge for water at City Hall, and I'm already missing 2-3 hours of work and the associated wages for this ... now this parking garage has the Fleekin' nerve to charge me over $3 in service fees on top of the $7 that's advertised in the app. They are not transparent at all about this service fee before putting in your card information. Especially ridiculous because I just went to the Statue of Liberty and the lot in Jersey City by the docks advertises their $0.99 service fees, so I ended up paying $3 less to park near a world famous attraction rather than in a crappy part of Baltimore City! I really don't understand why they can't just post the $3 service fee plus $7 when you drive in or just make it an even 10 bucks, which is not bad for downtown near

Absolute scam! The garage does not open during the hours listed on the signage. They open and close whenever they feel like it. I have been late for work several times due to the garage not being open at 7 am. after paying a monthly membership!!

If you care about your car's finish/paint job, avoid this place at all costs. This is the epitome of you get what you pay for. Half the price of other nearby garages, but no working elevators, one car wide passages going up and down levels (i.e. you have to wait for the car going the opposite direction before you can proceed), and worst of all, stalactites hanging from the ceilings dripping some sort of debris all over the cars! The white mineral deposits that were left all over my car were surprisingly hard to remove as whatever they are composed of stuck tenaciously to the car paint. Not only this since they contain some sort of abrasive mineral it is likely to cause fine scratches while scrubbing them off which then will require one to follow up with a polishing compound then wax.

It's nasty! I went for the $7 early bird special, which is all it has going for it. There are leaks, rusted stairs, stalactites, peeling paint, trash and old cars everywhere. I'm glad it wasn't crowded, because the ramps are single lane, two way deals. Seems like it would suit an old valet or mechanic better. Two stars for the price and cause my car made it out OK.

They may close earlier than you expect, leaving you without a car for a couple days! That was my experience. No sign stating closing time, no warning from the individual manning the attendant booth. Just my wife and I coming back to a rolled down garage door. Then, the place closed the following day. When I called to see about getting the door open, there was no response for hours. Eventually the attendant offered to open the door, but with the garage half an hour away at that time, this was no immediate help. When I came back to pick up my vehicle and they were open, the attendant had the nerve to ask me for more money, saying I had been parked there three days.
