Gulf Side Hurricane Protection

There are not enough words to express the professionalism and knowledge of Gulfside Huricane Protection (GHP). We used this company circa 2021 and again yesterday January 5, 2025. We came home after 3 weeks away to find a different screen, our 25 ft screen not operating. We were not able to access out to our lanai from the house. I called GHP and they scheduled us in expeditiously and within a day we were back operating!! This is a family owned company. Darin, the principal of the company, and his family are great!!! 100% recommend them!!!

Based on my brother's positive experience with this company, I decided to contact them as well. From my first call, speaking with Katy in the office, to my promptly receiving a call back from Darren, I just knew that I had made the right choice in contacting them. An appointment was set up for Darren to look at my place. He arrived right on time and was very accommodating and knowledgeable. I was pleased with the estimate that I received. Once the materials were ordered and received, I was contacted for the scheduling of the hurricane panels. Again, their crew showed up when they said would. From Katie handling our calls and administrative needs to Darren and his workers being on site has us as loyal customers. This company has been taking care of our shutters now for over 3 yrs and we hope to continue to enjoy this great relationship for years to come.

Gulf Side Hurricane is a very good company to work with. If there's a problem, they try to remedy the situation as best and quick as they can. The quality of their shutters and other storm protection is very good and meets all the Codes required in FL. In 2018 they were dealing with a shutter manufacturer that made a bad name for them but they have changed manufacturers who aren't out there to ruin their reputation. They have made a strong comeback from that situation and they are a pleasure to work with, they're honest and supply good service. Remember always listen to the other side of the story as well. Very pleased with the company in Aug. 2016. In Jan. 2018, we ordered 4 shutters to complete the house. In April, the shutters were to be installed, however, we were told after numerous unreturned phone calls, that they had not been ordered. They were finally installed in June. They carry fine products, but the customer service was terrible.
