Gunderson Pool Plastering Shop

1/2023 Gunderson Pool Plastering was hired by our pool builder to install the plaster in our pool. During the plaster installation, we did not see Glenn on site, and the job was lead by his son. After installation, and during the pool filling, I noticed white streaking on our back wall that remained after the pool was filled. After meticulously keeping the pool chemistry in the necessary state for proper curing by a professional, the streaking remained. Glenn immediately blamed improper water chemistry when I approached him about the streaking. After he and the pool builder discussed the situation, Glenn told us that the pool would need to be drained, acid-washed, refilled, and then maintained at proper chemistry. He also sent a printout of the recommended chemistry. The pool was drained,

Gunderson did the plaster in our pool 5 years ago. We have had nothing but problems with it and they refuse to do anything to help us. Upon their referral we used J&M to take care of the chemicals when they were done with the work. Within a few weeks we started to get large rock looking Calcium deposits all over on the bottom and sides of the pool and hottub. They blamed the chemical people and the chemical people blamed them. So we got stuck with close to $20K out of pocket and a pool that we can't use. Now the plaster is coming away in chunks and we are told it's because it wasn't prepared properly and no bonding agent was used. They still claim they are not to blame and want over $20K to fix their improper workmanship. I would not use this company!

AMAZING COMPANY! They know their pools, plaster, tile, etc! The entire resurfacing for a 60,000 gallon pool was seamless. Long review: From the beginning Gunderson Pools was different; on time, professional, took almost an hour doing the estimate and going over every detail and all my questions, available pre and post the renovation. The must critical part of a pool renovation is taking care of the chemicals and brushing POST; Gunderson provides a detailed description and breakdown but you have to follow it PRECISELY. Again, Angela returned my calls and was available for all my questions post being paid 🌟⭐️💫
