The owner Mike was a pleasure to work with. Very knowledgeable and worked with my budget to address the leak in my basement. The crew came in and worked quick and clean. When they left, you wouldn’t have even known they were there. If you need waterproofing this company needs to be your first call. I recently bought my house and hired Mike in January to assess my french drain and install/fix what would be necessary to repair any flooding issues around the house. He and his team were very honest, showing me exactly what was wrong along the way. They were able to finish the job in just a few hours and properly cleaned up my property. You couldn't even tell work had been done after they left! We have had a few major rain storms since and I have not seen any signs of flooding or leakage, thus far. I would highly recommend Mike and his team at Guru!!! Very knowledgeable and extremely reasonable with price!

I have a really mixed review. Initially I dealt with the owner Mike. I got his business name thru the company website of Humidex as a certified dealer and installer. So I had never met him since he was an hour away. When I called on 9/18 he said he could be out the following Weds 9/24 and wanted a $800 deposit sent Zelle. Since he was listed by Humidex to use I sent it ( with hesitation) on 9/20. On the 23rd he called to say the unit did not arrive and rescheduled me for 10/3 10am-11am I waited ALL DAY and tried to call him but the store phone kept getting a message from Verizon saying my call could not go thru. I texted his personal phone multiple times and left multiple voice messages. At 5 pm I got a text saying " So sorry had an emergency today" ... that was it!!I got angry and said

Mike and his team from Guru Water Proofing came to my home in Short Hills to install a French drain system and sump pumps to address persistent water issues. I cannot recommend them highly enough. From start to finish, the work was executed to the highest professional standards and was completed right on schedule. The difference is night and day--since the installation, I haven't experienced a single instance of dampness or any musty odors. My basement has truly gone from a damp storage area to a comfortable extension of our living space. I was so impressed with the quality of their work that I recommended them to my neighbors, who have since had work done in their basements and are equally happy with the results. We had french drains installed, a sump pump replaced, a sump pump removed, and mold remediation earlier in February. It's now August and we are 100% happy that we have not had any water enter our basement again and would recommend to everyone. Mike was very good at communicating, did not feel pushy like a salseman, and delievered what was promised. He gave us his recommendations, which were similar to 3 other companies we received quotes from, but with the best price of all quotes. The installation was done in one day and we had no problems. These french drains meet our needs for our unfinished basement that we use for storage.
