Guzzo Stucco

Great craftsmanship. Good communications and follow up actually happed. That is rare with contractors at the Jersey shore. Jerry also gave me great advice that made my stone work look better than it would have otherwise been.

We moved into a new home and Guzzo was responsible for the stone and stucco on the house. Since then, they have had to come out a minimum of 8 times to replace stone that is falling off the house. I have contacted them about this on many occasions. They claim it is a manufacturer defect. Their solution has been to replace the stone that has fallen. This last time, they actually reapplied the broken stone. I find this unacceptable. I've called and emailed the owner directly, citing my concerns that not only is this unattractive, but is a danger to people and property. The owner has not replied and it continues to be an ongoing issue and matter of personal safety.

Just 8 years after I hired Guzzo Stucco to install new stucco on the rear exterior wall of my rowhouse, I experienced complete stucco failure. When making the owner, Jerry Guzzo, aware of the issue, he requested that I email him photos, which I did. I have not heard from him since, nor have I been able to get a hold of him. So much for integrity and accountability.

These guys have been in business forever so I thought they would be better to deal with. Had an issue at my house with a leaking window. They would not even talk to me until I had water intrusion testing done in my home. Not the appropriate response to my inquiry so I will look elsewhere.

Redoing the stucco on my house that we just bought was a daunting task. Overall we knew there were issues from the inspection, and we knew there was work to be done. The workers that ended up coming to my house were timely, efficient, and showed significant progress each day. While all that was impressive enough, the quality of work was impeccable. The Stucco was installed in the correct manner, underlying issues were resolved, and root causes of the previous damage fixed.
