Do not buy firewood from Hafner. They delivered rotted wood that does not burn. When I complained about poor quality of half cord, customer service person,Christie, had me send photos and video. She did not acknowledge receipt of this info. Several days later after I called again and again, she said she had to come inspect it in person. She did not show up for appointment. Finally after many calls owner Phil got on phone and blamed his company policy, stating customers rip him off with false complaints. He refused to pick up bad wood and replace it with a half cord that would burn. Instead, after back and forth, he said he’d send me a check as refund. Over a week later I got the check that was supposed to be in mail 8 days later. Very poor experience and nothing to burn.

First time leaving a bad review on Google but honestly I feel like people should be warned from using their garden soil. My neighbor recommended this company so I purchased the terra mix for a large raised bed I had just constructed and the website suggests this is formulated for this use and is supposed to be a 1:1:1 mix of topsoil, mulch fines, and mushroom compost. I am doubtful now of whether that much compost made it in and the "mulch fines" seemed to be large chunks of wood, like the size of a fist or even a small plank. There were huge balls of clay that were difficult to break up and homogenize. I wish I had tested the soil before planting but I thought it was supposed to be a quality mix with appropriate nutrient levels. When nothing was growing by the end of June, we finally test

You’ve been delivering gravel and topsoil to me for about 15 years and it’s always been a great experience. Today I had the nicest man ever. Charles. Helped me spread the tarp and managed to get all that beautiful dirt on it. He was a really lovely experience at 8 am. The man smiles with his whole face. Besides being efficient and not running into any of the obstacles or power lines on my tiny street he is just the sweetest guy. Thanks!

This is the first year we ordered from Hafner and will be our go-to for mulch from now on! The service was incredibly friendly and I have to give a special shoutout to our delivery driver, Charlies! He was very careful in the placement of our mulch and a super nice guy! A company is only as good as the people representing them, and Charles represented Haffner's very well! Thank you! I was really satisfied with my firewood delivery. I ordered half a cord and while I'm not the best at stacking, the dimensions are a bit more than half a cord, so I felt that was generous. The quality of the wood is good. Dense, not very smoky, and slow burning in comparison to the small packages I have bought at the store. It isn't perfectly clean, due to some bug detritus and small amounts of dirt, but compared to the lighter and flakier wood I have bought in the past it leaves significantly less of a mess overall. I also found plenty of cleaner wood to stack indoors. I'll be buying again!
