Matt's company was recommended to me by a friend who'd known him for a long time. When he came out I suggested we do a walk around the house to look at the issues I wanted to work on. He seemed very knowledgeable about the problems and the fixes he suggested seemed reasonable. Mainly I had a few small areas of rotten trim that I wanted to be replaced before selling my house. (I had several other issues also, but wanted to concentrate on this first) In fact, one of the areas that needed to be repaired was the same as had been done just two years prior by another handyman crew. The work that Matt's guys did looked absolutely flawless. I actually sent him a note saying I wish I'd known about him sooner so that I could've enjoyed the place more while I owned it! We hired Handy-Matt to move our privacy fence to the southwest corner of our property line. His team cleared the brush from the area and finished the project within a couple of days. Before finding Handy-Matt we contacted three local fence companies. One never picked up the phone, one never returned our call, and the third never emailed us the estimate after visiting our property! Handy-Matt was professional and on-time from beginning to end. The final cost was right in line with the estimate, too.

What I thought would be a good experience, given other reviews, quickly took a turn. I requested a quote to install a pergola composed of 8 4x4 posts and some metal brackets. The quote came back at over $1100, and when I attempted to inquire why it was so much Matt quickly became very difficult to work with. He assumed I was expecting him to do the work at a loss, which I was not. What I did expect was a reasonable estimate for the work being done.

A hassle-free experience from start to finish with great value included. Matt looked at everything, sent us a quote, we chose which items we wanted completed for this job and soon workers were outside making it happen. A quick recovery from a small hiccup put the icing on top for us. Matt and his employ are professionals, rest assured.
