Harbor Freight

Was great until 2026. Now it's a joke as far as customer service is concerned. I think new management is to blame. We've been frequent customers for years. We bought their special "Inside Track" membership plan. They always had a great return policy - until now. For example - we bought an item from floor display. Manager(Supervisor?) was running the cash register and told us we had 5 days to return it. My husband took it home, tried to fire it up, and... it didn't turn on. Faulty product. Boxed it back up and returned it the very next day. Lo and behold, we were SURPRISED with a $48 RESTOCKING FEE. Yes you read that correctly. They charged us an enormous restocking fee for a product that they sold to us in a defective state. We didn't even USE the product. Hasn't even been 24

I bought an open-box item, tested it immediately, and found a dead short--it was completely dead on arrival. Returned it right away, yet the manager hit me with a $40 restocking fee. Shady: The manager likely just repackages and resells these defective returns as 'open-box' to the next customer. That's deceptive and feels like straight-up fraud

Who doesn't love harbor freight? I'm not going to pay hundreds for the same thing. More than likely there is project I saw on Pinterest I'm attempting so until I see a need to spend hundreds of dollars on a drill and even if I do , harbor freight will be my place to go. Budget friendly to expert quality and large selection so how could you go wrong?

Always top of the line service whether its being treated good, helped quickly, fast checkout, product availability, or just seeing a friendly face and yes this goes for even when doing a return. Phenomenal place to go for tools or just to hide from the wife.

Great customer service. The tools they sell are not the best out there. What they are is affordable and just right for projects. If they fail you haven't lost much. Some things I have purchased here have lasted for years and still working. It is for me, all about the budget I put on my projects.
