Henry Ford Hospital Parking & Valet

Parking here is almost non-existent. Cars are just driving around in endless circles looking for a spot that never comes available. If avoidable, won't be coming back to this campus!! Very confusing parking situation... there really is inadequate parking here for the size of this campus and volume of patients. I literally had to drop off my wife off at the front door and drive around midtown until her appointment was over. I found a Henry Ford lot at Third and York where there was a sign that appears to indicate visitors and patients could park there, but wasn't allowed in. The parking attendant just looked up (perhaps from her phone? 😅) and smiled through the tinted glass... The arm didn't go up, so I guess I wasn't allowed to park. Underground parking. Two ways, kinda narrow. Haven’t had to pay to park yet. Comes up right in front of Henry Ford Hospital.

The parking spaces are small, and the turns to the next row are tight and difficult. There are always lots of wheelchairs left near the elevator. Are people discharging themselves from the hospital? The parking lot itself is under some construction, adding to the chaos. Valet is next to patient pick-up, and there are always a lot of cars clustered in that area. Like being at the airport.

I picked my brother up after a two week stay.

Not easy with a transport bus, security was no help when asked where to park it.
