Hoffman Energy

I have used Hoffman for several years for oil and service at my commercial location in New Milford. I stopped using their oil delivery a few years back, because I felt they were charging me for more than what was delivered. I ended up installing a wifi monitor on my tank to confirm something was off. What they reported was delivered, vs what my tank said on the monitor was never the same, I eventually stopped using their oil delivery. Their service department always seems out to make a buck, and doesn't look out for your best interest. I confirmed this again this year, and switched my service contract to Murphy Heating and cooling. They were literally half the price, and they recommended I stop using an unnecessary $2k part Hoffman has said I needed AGAIN, after they installed this part 3

I have had the worst experience ever!!! I was remodeling my house and had Hoffman supply the oil because that what the previous owner used. My plan was to stay with them. First three month paid over $3k in oil being unaware that they went to refill the oil tank. At that time the house was unoccupied due to construction. Told them to put a hold until we finish the construction because we were switching to propane. I received several threatening emails saying to re-start the service. My house is still not done and they charges me $625.33 for breaking a contract that ended in November of 2024. This company does not care about customers! I will start looking for a new company for my propane. This is very unethical from their part! Stay away from this company! -

Just wanted to give A shout out to Hoffman Fuel, and two of their employees they were so amazingly, nice and helpful, their names are Nick and Peter. They were at my home and they were very helpful and every which way please give a shout out to them and tell them how wonderful they were thank you

I am so disappointed in Hoffman. We just renewed our service after a year in our house. Today, our AC broke and is blowing warm air. I called the emergency line, and was told “their emergency technicians don’t cover AC repair”. I was told the earliest a service tech could get here would be Monday (it’s Saturday) and that I should “call back to double check to ensure a service call was scheduled”. When I questioned how that made any sense, the technician repeated herself and said “as I just stated, you should call back to make sure”. I’m completely at a loss as to how having no AC in the dead of summer is not considered an emergency when we pay $500/month for the service they provide. We are now paying a different company to come out for an emergency visit. My mind is blown and I look forw
