Hog Island Trail And Observation Deck

If you are looking for solitude this place is it. Short walk from ample parking. Two paths lead you to the observation deck. The longer path has the historical marker. The other unmarked path a short distance away is much faster.

This is a hidden gem, good for an evening walk or just explore, but not the best place to watch sunset. There are bugs in the evening, so bring your spray. The parking lot is big - mainly used by golfers. From there, you can see the trailhead on the opposite side. It is a short walk to the observation deck. The view is pretty cool. You can continue on the path to get to the “beach”. Lots of crabs.

Very scenic and amazing trail with lots of wild life

A peaceful little spot in which an expansive view of Charleston Harbor is visible. Great sunsets. Three is a crowd.

peaceful. stumbled upon this place by accident. I've never seen more little crabs or sea shells in my life on one beach. It was beautiful.
