Holod's Kitchen & Bath

I have been wanting to come in here for weeks, my husband and I are tiling a study in our home. My experience here was really strange. I walked in, the receptionist wasn’t very enthusiastic which whatever, not that big of a deal but there was no one in the shop. She pointed to an area of tile to look at. Then the sales lady came up, she didn’t introduce herself, she just asked what I was looking for, to which I explained I wanted gray and white tile or marble. Was open to different materials. But she kept mentioning price and cheapest materials, even said Home Depot and Lowe’s would have less expensive prices but customer service there would be worse?? She showed me a couple of different materials and walked away and proceeded to talk to the receptionist. As a sales person you would think

We highly recommend Holod’s Kitchen and Bath, in particular Bill Cuevas as designer and project manager. Bill is professional, responsive, and fair. Our redesigned kitchen is functional and beautiful, which makes it a pleasure to cook in every day. My husband and I had our kitchen and a powder room renovated in the summer of 2022. The planning process began in January 2022, when we chose a package that included design, a commitment to purchase cabinetry, flooring, and tile through Holod’s, and contractor services to carry out the project. (Another option is to work with your own contractor, but we didn’t have anyone else in mind.) During the winter months, we had several meetings with Bill who gave us a total of three different layouts, taking our input into account after each one. W

I used Holod’s to make a dream she-shed project come to life. The interior needed basic cabinets, countertop, lighting, and finish work. I wanted a Scandinavian style fully tiled bathroom, which was unique. Stacia was super helpful and creative with design and installation ideas and support. There were changes and delays- no fault of Holod’s, but Stacia patiently supported me through the entire long project. Highly recommend Holod’s if you are looking for a company with integrity and sincere interest in making your renovation dreams come true.

We went to Holod's because it was located nearby and we wanted to support a local business. Now we wish we had looked further and checked out other businesses. We wanted someone who would work closely with us each step of the way. Although we tried to be patient, we were continually disappointed with our "do-it-yourself" experience. Going forward we will invest more time finding someone who will activey assist with coordination and selection of style, colors, and fixtures.

If we could do our remodel over again, we would make sure that timelines were clearly defined in the contract. When we initially left a full (100%) deposit we weren't told that the wait would be 5 months. When work finally started, we were assured that the job would be finished in 6 weeks, only to have it drag on for 7 more months. In the end it took a year, almost to the day. As the saying goes, "caveat emptor." Our suggestion is to get the project timelines in writing up front.
