Home Services at The Home Depot

Will never shop at Home Depot again. Home Depot in Lakewood NJ has horrible service. Paid and arranged for a carpet install for today. Receive call from installers this morning stating they will be here between 11am to 3pm (really😐). Installers arrived with no carpet stating they had to take measurements....????? I was extremely confused since we paid for measurements prior to ordering and paying for the carpet. I was informed that they did not receive the measurements or floor plans and could not do the job. Although they knew this when they called at 8am to confirm appt window time. Called Home Depot of Lakewood , NJ to express my disappointment and anger and was basically told there was nothing they could do or was willing to do to make it right. I went to the Lakewood store to get information about installing pull down attic stairs. Got a call same day from a contractor happy to do the job. I'm thinking he gotta be qualified since Home Depot referred him. Not! As in Not qualified and, evidently not referred by Home Depot. He wanted $350 labor, plus materials. Started work Tuesday morning, complaining that he had forgotten his sawzall, asking to borrow $50 to get another (even though he claimed to own three). Told him I didn't have cash so he used my circular saw and another saw I have. I shoulda told him to go away, especially when I watched him measuring, but I decided to get out his way. Shouldn't! Built a room in my daughter's basement. The gal took my list and had everything pulled and delivered! Even got me signed up for a pro account that saved me over $100 on my items. Had $2000 in lumber, electric, doors, ceiling...

I hate talking to a robot every time I call. And they never return the call even though they say they will. Can’t find my order. I have no idea when it’s coming.
