As a Springfield resident, I by a decent share of hardware. So coming into your stores not unusual. However, I avoid going in these stores lately because its like entering a backroom of a warehouse ,and little help on finding anything. It's a flat experience that drives me to other venues. As a decorated US veteran, my reception is like a food inspector gets at a Holiday Inn. Sure hope the big box buyers support you All because I now avoid going to HD altogether.

Overall experience with the Home Depot rep was great. In fact, the rep caught us before we even entered the bath/shower area and he helped us asap. However, the type of service offered by 3rd party contractors was outrageously expensive and it kind of felt predatory from a sales pov. The rep was absolutely kind and very, very nice though. We were quoted $14,700 ($2K worth of discounts applied) for a 5'5"x5'8" bathroom. This was ONLY the purchase and installation of a new 38"x38" neo-angle shower. We were doing the teardown, flooring, toilet and sink ourselves. The shower was a very nice option, but definitely way more of a rehaul project and less of a refresh like we wanted. What was really off putting was that we had picked out everything we wanted from Home Depot and it was about $4K

I had my doors measured on 12/12/2016, which included a storm door and sliding patio door. They were installed with no problems. I ordered 13 doors on 04/07/2017, should have been an easy transaction. Dan was short with me when I ordered and said only 10 doors were measured and I assured him that 13 were measured. I was there almost 2 hours ordering. He did not explain that they would not take their trash, boxes, wood pieces, and Styrofoam. Hindsight, I was not very happy that day and should have walked away. I went in to check on the doors and Gary just sat at the counter on Facebook and ended up not knowing how to help me. 04/07/2017  Ordered 05/24/2017  10 out of 13 doors installed 07/06/2017  0 out of 3 due to damaged 08/09/2017  2 out of 3 doors installed, due to 3rd door being cut t

Buying carpet and vinyl for my small 1,000 square feet home has been the worst consumer experience I have ever had. This is due to the lack of communication and incompetence by Home Depot staff once my order reached the measurement phase. After my home was measured, a completely different home was added into my homes floor plan, skyrocketing the quote to $7,000 from the original $2,800 we were told in store. Knowing something had catastrophically been screwed up, my wife called into Home Depot customer service. The nightmare started at this time. My wife and I were called in, trying to fix our floor plan multiple times for the next three days. We were told the floor plan was fixed at the end of each call, just to receive an email later with a slight updated, but very incorrect floor plan.

I bought kitchen cabinet tops and was pleased with the final results of how they look but had to go with the 2mm rather than the 3 mm I paid for. Also had to go with the free edge rather than the one I paid $1080.00 for. Solid surface held back money in case they had to cut our cabinet tops for shims. They did not have to do anything because our cabinets were "The most level cabinets I have seen" after being measured with their laser machine. We told them we would remove the Formica and haul away. They lied and put in their report that they did it. I told Nicki at home depot I could bring the Formica to her that we did it ourself and they did not have to cut. Of course she didn't want it. I have only gotten back $760.50 off the money I paid on a double agee edge I didn't get and none for
