We made an offer on a home that was built less than 3years ago. Going in I thought this inspection was not needed because the home was so new. We found more than a dozen builder issues. Turns out the owners never did a pre-drywall inspection or a final inspection with the builder. Had they done these, and with an inspector, the issues would have been resolved quickly and at no cost to the owner. Very glad we had Homekey. They saved us a lot of repair money in this transaction. And, their online tool takes their 80 page report, full of photos, and allowed us to quickly create a pdf of the requested repairs. Made everything very simple to give to the sellers.

I found this company based on their reviews in May 2025. One thing that stood out was that all the reviews were positive and five stars. Even though their price was a bit higher than the company my agent recommended, I decided to go with them — after all, buying a house only happens a few times in a lifetime, and you want true professionals for something that important. Looking back, it was absolutely the best decision. Jay did my inspection and was extremely thorough and professional. A few months later, I had a question and reached out to Ian — that’s when I truly understood why everyone gives them five stars. I chose to do a general inspection of a new construction home with Leak Detection as my only additional service. On the day of the scheduled inspection, Mike Lawson performed the inspection on time and very thoroughly. He was able to find many items that needed attention that the builder had missed. I wish we had been able to find this home earlier to have them do a pre-drywall inspection. Both Mike and the owner, Ian, were very responsive to questions both before and after the inspection. Ian clearly explained their process, addressed all concerns, and never tried to upsell. I highly recommend this team and if I need to, I would certainly use their services again in the future.

Had a great experience with Jay. He was very patient and thoroughly explained all the details. Very much appreciated his patience and calm way of answering a ton of questions. Learned a lot during the time spent with him. Also wanted to give a shout out to Ian for his detailed email responses.
