My uncle had been planning to replace his septic system and had a perc test completed by Homestead Inc shortly before he passed away. In processing my uncle’s estate, I contacted Homestead to settle the balance for a service already rendered, which I paid. Some weeks later I found the original invoice, which was $400 LESS than what they charged me. When asked about this discrepancy, I was informed that they had given my uncle a discount and it was “not a discount we can extend to his estate or future owners”. Needless to say, I am not interested in discovering what other arbitrary pricing could occur in an already expensive endeavor, and another local company will be completing the work.

My experience working with Tom at Homestead Inc. for a septic design has been great! He has been incredibly helpful throughout the process, professional, communicative, and delivered the design in a timely manner. I would highly recommend his services!

This company was completely irrational and unprofessional. First of all this company charged twice the amount any other septic company does to perform a septic inspection. We were in a time crunch and needed it completed. Secondly, no pictures were taking in the report. Unfortunately something needed to be replaced and the sellers were requesting pictures to ensure this was in fact the case. I called this owner and asked if he would be willing to come back out and take pictures and said no. He was rude and unprofessional. He said “I intended to take pictures but forgot”. That is not so all okay for a Title 5 Septic Inspection.

Please do yourself the favor of not hiring this clown. He is an incompetent buffoon who will make your life a living hell. He was hired to design a leech field for an existing system and it took him FOUR MONTHS. Every plan he submitted was rejected and called "a mess" "nonsense" "gobbledygook" and "incomprehensible" by the state official hired to inspect the designs. We had to hire someone else who had an approved plan within 5 days. He is a fraud and will take your money and blame other people for his ignorance.

Tom has extremely generous with his time and expertise, and goes out of his way to be helpful. He's told the truth even if it wasn't what I hoped to hear.
