I know it’s not the company fault when movers don’t show up. But I had scheduled a mover for 4pm and no one showed up. They tried to find someone else but those people also didn’t show up. I feel like it was a scam to get me to pay upfront before they even got a confirmation that a mover will actually arrive. A company should never take 50% until the workers arrive onsite first. They took 2 deposits from me and I had to cancel both due to the no show. Now my money is stuck with them and I won’t get a call to confirm my refund for at least 48 hours. This is not how you run your company. If I didn’t need movers, I would’ve done it myself, but at the end of the day, me and my husband end up having to move five bedrooms alone with a four-year-old and a 66 years old mom. I was hired by them to help load and unload various items in the household. The company reached out that morning and gave me all the correct details and locations. I was paid immediately after the job was completed. The dispatcher was very polite and thanked me for coming in and working for them today.
