I will preface my review about our recent experience with Ibbotson by saying that our family, starting with my father in law, an architect in town, has been using Ibottson for well over 40 years and have been contracted for multiple family homes in the nw suburbs. Being mid-century or earlier styled homes, these all contain conventional boiler systems. We have noticed a dramatic change in methodology of service over the past two year period of Ibottson pushing complete replacement of systems over repair of components- to the tune of several thousand dollars for each. We are fortunate to have a family friend in the HVAC business, that we have had to tap as a secondary source, after receiving these exorbitant and unnecessary boiler replacement requests. Ibbotson saved the day! Our furnace wasn’t turning on a we were heading out of town that day for a couple of days. I called to make an appt and asked if I could just leave the thermostat off so the furnace wouldn’t keep trying to run. The manager I spoke with said it was going to be cold and didn’t want the pipes to freeze. He was so nice and sent someone over within the hour before we left! Thankfully it was only a dirty sensor….thanks Ibbotson!

My heating went out at 8:00 am Saturday morning when the temperature was near zero. I contacted Ibbotson, who I've been using for about 20 years. Because of the long winter freeze and the fact that it was the weekend, I was anticipating a delay in response and a costly repair bill. Ibbotson was at my house within an hour and my heat was restored an hour afterwards. The fee was more than reasonable. Outstanding response - outstanding service, outstanding company. Thank you Ibbotson.

Our technician, Brad, was prompt, polite, and efficient. He serviced and cleaned our two furnaces and humidifiers replacing all the filters quickly, explaining the work he was performing clearly, and left everything spotless. Couldn’t ask for better service!

We had a new furnace installed. The entire process from sale, scheduling to install was very smooth. The Lead installer, Dan, was phenomenal. Showed up on time, was courteous, and knowledgeable. Spent time after the install ensuring any questions were answered and left the work site totally clean. Great experience with Ibbotson and signed up for a new A/C unit in the Spring. Received quotes from 3 companies. They were competitive and offered the most flexibility with a combo (furnace and a/c).
