Customer Reviews
The Civic Center Park Garage is a great option if you’re attending the Symphony, Opera, or Herbst Theatre. It’s just a three-minute walk to any of these venues, making it extremely convenient. The garage is clean and offers plenty of parking spaces. It also feels relatively safe and well-maintained. During performances, parking is a flat rate of $35. Payment is easy and can be made at the parking machines located inside the garage or near the elevators. Overall, a convenient and reliable choice for event parking in the area.
This parking garage has a max height clearance of 7 ft. Perfect for most cars with a roofbox. Safer option than street parking. If you plan to park overnight, they do close the lot at night on Sunday. I think it was closed from 10pm till 6am. Staying multiple days does get pricey +$36 per day
Do not under any circumstances park your car on the street in the Civic Center area. You risk your car getting broken into. Instead, pull into this garage. No it's not the cleanest. Yes parts of it smells like urine. But it is far safer than parking on the street. And if you have an electric vehicle, you might be able to find an open charger on the first floor or second floor underground. For special events they charge a flat fee otherwise it's an hourly rate. You can park overnight, although the garage is not accessible 24 hours a day.
Convenient garage for Civic Center. Stairs often smell like urine. There are multiple exits from the garage on foot, but you can only enter from a singular elevator. Can make getting back to your car confusing. Very expensive.
I drove to San Francisco to attend an opera at the War Memorial Opera House. A sign was posted that the rate is $35 for a special event (I'm assuming it's the performance I am attending today). While I love the opera, I can't afford these outrageous parking prices. I will not be attending as many opera performances as I'd hoped because the cost of parking is simply too high to justify a $100 ticket.
