J&G Carpentry is by far the best company to have ever installed my door. The office staff is absolutely incredible—everyone is so polite and takes the time to thoroughly explain the entire process. They are contracted with Home Depot, so when issues arise, people often assume it’s J&G’s fault. However, many delays—such as door availability from vendors, pricing changes, or permit approvals—are outside of J&G’s control. Vendor shipping timelines and municipal permit processes simply can’t be sped up by the installer. If you’re patient and take the time to understand the process, you will not be disappointed with the outcome. They truly are the best installers around and an outstanding company overall. Highly recommend!

J&J carpentry installed a double front door.. The office staff and installers were extremely professional and did a great job. From start to finish including permit it was a very smooth process.

They are the worst ever. After waiting four months for the door to arrive, J & G came to install my door. My door was installed incorrectly and they never bothered to come back to fix the problem. My door still doesn't close completely. You call and get the run around.

Can I give them no stars? This has to be the most terrible and inept company I have ever worked with. I rarely leave bad reviews but these people deserve it. I don't know how they got the contract with Home Depot after looking at all these awful reviews but they were the only company home depot uses for door installation. They came and measured the door but wrongly measured it, so after months the door had to be remade. I went and picked up the new door without a thought that they could have possibly screwed this up again and lo and behold it was an inch too large. I don't know if they are just so comfortable with the work that they get from Home Depot that they feel they can mess this up for multiple customers without any repercussions but they really screwed me out of my time and money.

The waiting time is terrible! I purchased my patio door in August and this was not installed until nov. the installation process was smooth. Two months after install, we had a week a bad rain, the water came somehow (company still unable to figure problem out). This damaged my wood floor. I have to put a claim through Home Depot as the response time and customer service of this company is despicable. HD claim management company sent the installing company to assess the situation. After a month of debate, their conclusion that they didn’t do anything wrong and the problem was my broken kitchen pipe where there is no damage to floor or adjacent floor. Avoid this company. You will regret doing business with them. The latest is that the claim company realized the mistake and ask me to send it
