I was hit by one of JJ Hardwood Co.’s employees while he was driving a company van. I was seven months pregnant at the time and was parking my car when he struck me. The accident happened because he was on his phone and not paying attention— I even honked at him before he hit me, but he didn’t react. It’s been six months, and my insurance company has tried multiple times to contact JJ Hardwood Co., but they haven’t responded. I had to pay out of pocket to repair my car. When I tried reaching them myself, they were rude and claimed they weren’t responsible, even though their employee was found at fault. This situation has caused unnecessary stress and a financial burden on my family. I wouldn’t recommend doing business with a company that refuses to take responsibility for their actions.

Stolen Property & Stained Baseboards JJ did our floors on the first floor a few years ago and it was about as unpleasant an experience as it could be. I like to give anyone a pass the first time and writing now only because it is now a pattern. A couple years ago when they did the floors they stained all of the baseboards, see pictures. On top of this the crew stole from us. It was relatively small with the largest item being a portable grill. I came to a settlement with the crew chief on the staining and missing property which was harder than it should have been been but coming home to this situation and the feeling of violation was a terrible way to end our honeymoon. I worked with JJ Hardwood Floors to refinish the floors in my large loft. I thought the floors would look nice when I returned from vacation, but they are gorgeous! The color is seamless and their service took off years of wear and tear. A previous refinish was oil based so the floors had turned really orange, and now they're a lovely ash blonde. One of the things I love is the feeling of the floors - they're so smooth! I've had neighbors visit and gasp when they see the finished result. The team was easy to work with and my apartment cared for. I'd highly recommend their services.
