Did work for some friends and they OVERcharged hours. 1. Did not inform them an apprentice would be with them and they would pay for him also. 2. Charged them 2 hours for a 10 min drin min 15 min drive max to the resident. 3, Job was a 15 to 20 min job and they took about 50 min. This job was a quicky fix. When our friends called they only took 1/2 an hour off the bill. Materials used was around .50 cents. Bill was around $350. With there rate per hour it should have been $200 and that is generous. I post this because hard working people are being priced out of living!!! ASK questions about Truck fees, how they charge to come to the house or service fees to if they are training and tell them you will NOT pay for more than the person needed to do the job! I had to have a 30 amp receptacle put in on the outside of my shop. The work looks great, it was just hooked up wrong, but my other contractor fixed it in about 2 minutes.

Called for a quote on an electrical outlet install, he asked me a question about the circuit. I responded I don’t know and he said then I can’t give you a quote and hung up on me. Guess you have to be an electrician to speak to him.
