JLM Masonry & Waterproofing

I known Joe for years but haven’t seen him for a long time. I got 2 estimates on repairing the stucco on my chimney and the stucco is over 20 years old with no waterproofing, I wasn’t sure about the two. My wife told me that Joe does this type of work so I looked at his website. I really liked the site and gave him a call. Joe actually answered the phone, most contractors don’t and he came to my house the same day. Not because he knows me and said he try’s to do that with everyone. Joe explained how and what he was gonna do and I was very impressed and knew he was the guy for the job. I wanted Joe to repair the cracks in the stucco but when they started the cinder block was braking up from the moisture going through the stucco, so Joe and the 2 guys had to replace 5 rows of block. Highly recommend! I had rain coming inside above my windows. My roofer recommended getting brick pointing. I met with 3 different masonry contractors. The first quote was really low but could not guarantee brick pointing would fix the issue. Then I met with Joe from JLM. Joe asked to see where the rain was coming in. Once seeing where the rain was coming in, he knew exactly what the issue was, how to fix it, and would guarantee the fix. His quote was significantly more than the first guy. This was expected after Joe explained they would be an involved job - removing bricks above 3 windows, replacing and sealing the lintel, and reinstalling the bricks. Lastly, met with the 3rd mason. He gave me a quote higher than JLM, but did not address any concerns about the leak nor offer any reassuranc

I had a leak above my rear window where water was seeping through the brickwork. Joe quickly diagnosed the issue, ground out the old mortar, and repointed the entire area with new mortar. They also sealed around the window capping to prevent future leaks. The job was done quickly, the pricing was very fair, and the crew was extremely professional — including Joe’s son, who is a very hard worker. Everything was cleaned up professionally. Most importantly, the leak is completely fixed with no more issues. I highly recommend JLM for any masonry or waterproofing work!

JLM Masonry & Waterproofing delivered amazing work for us while saving our stone columns supporting our front porch. Original plans did not call for any mason work, but once our very old porch was demoed, we needed emergency help with the crumbling foundation.
