tldr; charged $250 for a diagnostic and a guess. I called asking for a price on a diagnostic on my furnace. She said it's $69 to come out and then $125 for parts and labor if we go ahead with the repairs. Tech came out and spent about 3 hours trying to figure out the issue. A second tech also came out to take a look. They ran all these voltage tests and said everything looks fine, could be a loose wire or the inducer motor. They ended up charging us for the $69 fee for coming out and 1.5 hours of "labor". (Also left our earthquake tie off our water heater...) Top notch experience, start to finish. We needed to have our two very old furnaces and AC unit replaced. The salesman was upfront with his estimate and gave us several options to choose from. Nothing will make me walk away faster than a high pressure sales job and there was none of that. He explained the pros and cons of each option and left the decision up to us. The total cost was given up front and was right where it should be. We made our decision and the replacement was quickly scheduled. The crews were friendly, efficient, and respectful, and completed all of the replacement (both inside and outside work) within 2 days. Incredible experience with JM over the last few months. They beat competitors prices for a new furnace, went above and beyond cleaning our AC unit, and when we discovered a bit of a problem with the furnace install, they went out of their way to make it right. They've earned our business from here on out.
