I have been doing business with John Hoadley and Sons since I moved to Rockland in 1998. They installed my sump pump in my first house there in Rockland and it was still working great when I moved in 2022. I always went there for my propane fills and miscellaneous items over the years. The guys there have always been great to me. I moved in 2022 and in April of 2024 had them install a sump pump and piping for my new house. Again, amazing job and certainly reasonably priced from parts to installation. Yesterday I noticed the pump was turning on but was not pumping water. I called the shop early this morning and spoke with Michael. He sent someone over within the hour and the technician had the pump running again shortly after he arrived. Do yourself a favor and find a different plumber. There are many who will give you a free estimate. This company does not. Charged me $150 to tell me they couldn't fix my bathroom faucet. I bought a new one, had them come back out to replace it, and they charged me almost $1000. Talked to Micheal Hoadley about how that happened and he said that since it was a pedestal sink, it's kind of a big job. It took two guys five hours to replace it and they trashed the rug on the landing outside the bathroom. They didn't think it would be thoughtful to maybe take your shoes off or cover the rug. That cost me $180 to clean after they were done. Michael tried to tell me that it was a 3x5 throw rug without ever seeing it.
