Yesterday morning, I briefly met Keely before heading back to my dad’s home to continue settling his estate and caring for my special needs sister, who is now fully in my care. For the past four weeks, I’ve been away from my home, children, and husband while trying to keep my sister’s routine as consistent as possible — so coming home in the evenings has been emotionally heavy.
