If the business owners/representatives showed up to ensure the outsourcing of their field measurements and Erectors were building to what made sense, I would give them 100%. When they acknowledge they knew what they were doing was wrong, but did it anyway, who should be responsible? The customer being on the hook for obvious and avoidable mistakes and additional expense to cover them is not professional. Who erects a steel staircase in front of a window that now no longer opens without discussion beforehand? Who draws a plan to their own discretion - even after lengthy discussion - and then passes along that failure to the customer?
