I found J&R Landscaping on Facebook. I used Facebook messenger app to ask a question about their services and Jack responded almost right away. We just had a pool installed and wanted a solution for our privacy tree situation. We went back and forth over a few days and he always answered promptly and honestly. He even offered to call me on a Sunday. Jack is a horticulturist so it was easy to trust the direction that he recommended. We moved forward with the work. Jack got me on the schedule within a few days. He and his crew showed up bright and early and got right to work. They were removing about 12 existing trees for us, planting 19 Green Giant Trees, and laying about 200 square feet of sod. J&R had about 8 or 10 guys here to get the work done. Beautiful landscaping, we had a very pleasant experience meeting with Giacomo on advice for our backyard landscaping needs several years ago. John, Mario and the crew did a wonderful job executing Giacomo"s suggestions. They moved several larger plants to different areas and planted plants I had in containers. They worked quickly and meticulously and it was beautiful when done. The evergreens continues to do very well, and offers year round interest. Giacomo returned this spring to help with another landscaping project for the side yard. Again Giacomo, John and Mario delivered another winning landscape for our side yard. J&R is brilliant at what they do. We had used them in 2021 for landscaping the front yard & they did a good job. So when we decided this year to remove all the old dead trees from the backyard & have a few design elements thrown in on the side yard, we knew it was going to be J&R. We didn’t have to get a quote from other vendors because J&R always gives a fair price . They are very honest & easy to work with. They go the extra mile to make sure the customer is happy and accommodate last min changes. Big thanks to Mario, Johnny & giocommo and the whole team for transforming our backyard. After a recent home renovation, our yard needed some major TLC. We were lucky to meet Kristen of North Service Nursery and Giacomo of J & R Landscape who brought the thunder back to our backyard. Upon first meeting Giacomo, we knew he was the one who could bring beauty back to our dying trees and ugly landscape. He promised us something spectacular and that it all could be done in one day. We were a little skeptical but can we just say now, L & R Landscape does not mess around. In less than one day, they removed, cleaned and beautified our space and brought it to life. I’ll start by admitting I can be a difficult customer and often spend way too much time getting estimates, changing design plans, and mulling over vendor reviews. My backyard project was no different. I received estimates from five reputable companies on Long Island that were either recommended through a Facebook Moms/Dads group, Yelp, or through word of mouth. It just so happens that I liked all the landscaping companies I brought in and all had very similar ideas however, J&R stood out from the rest in two distinct ways.
