Great experience at Ken’s! Alexa answered the phone promptly, politely, and spoke clearly (a rare occurrence these days with businesses) She was knowledgeable and quickly found the part I was after and put it on hold. The price was reasonable and I was able to fix my fridge same day instead of pay shipping and wait days from an internet store. Glad to have Ken’s in the local Ames area! Give them your business!

Called a few days ahead and made an appointment for Friday morning to have our dishwasher looked at. It's a workday so I moved things around so I could be home between 10 a.m. and 1p.m. as they asked. I called a little after 11 to make sure I was still on the schedule. They said the guy had some personal business to attend to but was due in at noon and then would be right over. At 1:15, I gave up as I had to head in to work. I guess as one of the only appliance repair places in town, they have so much business they can afford to treat people this way. -- Upgrading my original review from one star to three. A staffer followed up, apologized, and asked for a second chance. I rescheduled the appointment and the tech showed up within the period we'd agreed to. He diagnosed the problem and sug

Kyle came out and found all kinds of things wrong with our dishwasher. He explained everything thoroughly and presented the options. Super satisfied with the service and the company… Highly recommend Ken’s Appliance!

They decided not to show up. I gave them all the necessary information and got the day off work after being told they were scheduling me for a repair. Come the day of I wait at home for them to arrive and never hear a thing. They never showed and decided their best excuse was they never got the information, whicy they did. They then looked at their email for the first time in 3 days business days after they said it was a perfectly reasonable method to send the information. Poor management poor communication. Go somewhere else.

We bought a washer from Ken's. They have competitive pricing and great service. The washer was delivered quickly and the movers did a great job installing. We are happy to support a local business.
