Contracted by National Grid, they showed up unannounced at my home and made their way straight into my backyard with an ATV and started using a chainsaw. My daughter who happened to be in the backyard swinging, was terrified. They did not explain who they were or what they were doing. Did not communicate at all. We had reasonable cause to call the police. They cut far more than NG could possibly need to have done; also chopping things, not carefully trimming. They should not be trusted with residential jobs.

I'd like to echo the sediments of another review and say K.W. Reese Inc. came to Rotterdam NY under contract to do tree pruning for a National Grid power line break behind my property. Instead of cutting one of my trees in half, they cut a branch off a tree bordering my property, it fell and put a hole in my roof, and then I wasn't notified, I had to find it for myself. Through proper channels I got an estimate for roof to be replaced and asked for half and they told me no they're only responsible for fixing the hole and offered me $250 less. I find this ridiculous that contractors like this can go and damage your property and yet you have no recourse except to post bad reviews and "take it or leave it" with their offer. They just came to do trimming for National Grid. They hacked a hole through my rewild hedge 20 feet to the left of where the power lines actually are. Then they cut a bunch of branches off my pine tree (leaving the one branch that is actually dead) and then dumped the branches in the hole and left. Now I have a random hole and a bunch of enormous branches to clean up. Just adding to the chorus here, since National Grid doesn't care.

Reese Inc. came to Niskayuna NY under contract to do tree pruning from lines. Hacked the top of my burgundy leaf Birch tree which had been healthy the 2018 season. After my tree came into spring there was no budding or leaf bloom. Emailed the company about it and received no response. Probably figuring I was Joe blow home owner. Little did they know I have a degree in Turf Management and Landscape Design. And by the way I just happen to be the highest environmental award winning golf course Superintent in the US. So when I tell you they're hacks. You can believe what I'm telling you. Including very un-professional with the non response. So find another company to contract to or learn the hard way. Thank you.

Drove through my yard with their ATVs today and then over my blackberry bushes to get to power lines. Had they actually knocked on my door like the previous considerate contractors that have done it years prior I would have showed them an ATV path they could have taken.
