Lanier Parking (Georgia Aquarium Parking Garage)

I wanted to share some important info about going to the aquarium from this garage. There are 2 opposite pedestrian exits, and depending on where you park the signs will direct you to one of them. They are NOT equal. The walk to the main entrance is much shorter, and covered, if you walk out the exit on the East side of the garage. If you exit to Luckie St you will have a long walk to the main entrance.

We had a parking pass and the machine would not let us out of the gate; we had to pay $25 for parking (we were at the aquarium for about 3 hours). Well laid out parking garage with clear directions to the aquarium - just the payment system wasn’t very functional.

The aquarium parking is farther from the entrance than other nearby lots, and there’s no covered walkway, so you may get soaked if it’s raining.

Clean. Very easy to get in and out. Top rated however, no customer service virtually whatsoever with all of the complications of passes and discounts. It ultimately was difficult to get out and utilize the prepaid pass that I already had

We are aquarium members, here’s a hack: the regular elevators are always very busy, use the Ballroom elevators. Nobody is using them, just follow the signs, I included some pictures. On ground level (when you exit) walk inside the car entrance, they’re tucked away on the right
