Laurel’s Garden Design and Native Nursery

Laurel and team designed and installed a native garden in my front yard. This process was incredibly easy with Laurel’s extensive knowledge of native plants. Laurel sourced all of the plants locally- some of them in her own greenhouse! The transition to native plants has already been beneficial in its first year. We have brought monarch butterflies to our yard for the first time ever!!

Laurel is a passionate, professional garden designer and it shows through her thoughtful selections of plants and interactions with her clients and colleagues. She is enthusiastic about her work and is a knowledgeable resource for all things native to the piedmont. She also has an extensive network of other landscape professionals, whom we have also worked with. We hope to continue working with Laurel on future projects around our home landscape! I contacted Laurel slightly over a year ago when I felt the sudden urge to convert a patch of my backyard to a native meadow. From the outset, she was very easy to work with. She is busy, so our first appointment was set a couple of months after we first spoke. But once we met, things moved quickly. She is very professional and responsive. She places a high value on timeliness and is very very easy to work with. Her design, plant selection is top notch. Laurel is quite knowledgable about native plants and what can work in the various micro climates within a yard with input from the homeowner about their yard. She is professional and such a pleasure to work with.
