Liberty Street Parking Garage

I went to Savannah on Christmas Eve in need of all day parking. I found this location on Google maps and saw the pricing of $1 per hour on the city's parking site. Not knowing if there would be additional fees, I parked here anyway. After taking a ticket, there were many spots once I got off the first level. It was easy to walk down the ramp to a door. It put me in a decent place to walk all around the city all day. After about 7 hours I got back to my car, on the way out put in my ticket, and the total was 3 dollars! I assume Christmas Eve was treated as a weekend, so the price was even cheaper.

If you do the student discount vehicle storage, you need an attendant present to get out of the garage. The issue is that there IS NO ATTENDANT on the weekends- so don’t try to get out. And if you leave the car longer than the day you paid for theres a fee, so good luck if youre supposed to pick it up during the weekend. They had one digital attendant but the speaker is almost entirely broken, so we had to wait around half an hour for everyone in the line of cars to try to struggle through talking to the person and get out.

SCAD students- DO NOT LEAVE YOUR CAR HERE OVER BREAK! you need an attendant to escape because the ticket they give you for long-term does NOT have a barcode on it. you will have to talk to someone over the broken pay meter, and they will charge you an extra fee for being late even though there’s no one there on weekends!!! it’s nuts and there is no working phone number to call. Unbelievably slow and useless. It took 2 hours for me to leave because of this.

Always a great option if you're staying at a Historical District Hotel and don't want to pay a lot for valet. Was there for Friday - Sunday with some in & out and total cost was $15 vs. $80 plus tips for valet at the Fairfield. Was a 10 minute walk to the hotel. Was able to grab a coffee at Savannah Coffee Roasters right next door the morning I left.

Very convenient and not that expensive. With the Savannah Bridge run they had personnel who expedited the payment on the way out. I have used it a couple of times and always have a good experience.
