Lights Under Louisville

Yesterday we checked out Lights Under Louisville, and I have to say this might be one of the most interesting Christmas light experiences I have ever been to. You drive deep into the Mega Cavern and suddenly you are in this underground world where Christmas lights don’t just hang from poles or trees, they surround you from the floor all the way up to the ceilings like you’re moving through a glowing subterranean dream. Because it is all indoors, they can control every inch of the environment. Giant displays tower over you, lights ripple across the rock walls, and the whole thing feels almost cinematic. Some scenes are playful, some are whimsical, some are downright surreal. No weather, no wind, no cold. Just mile after mile of pure light and imagination. Now, full disclosure, this is not

My husband found this place as we were researching things to do on the way to Florida from Wisconsin. We got tickets last minute on the way. We are so happy we did. It was the most amazing experience! Everything was so fun and beautiful! We already have it down to come again next year! Next year we will do the zip line for sure!

Well worth the 5 hour drive! Absolutely stunning light displays!! We took the open air tour instead of driving ourself and im so glad we did!! You get to see so much more and enjoy it without having to drive.

This was an unique experience that I highly recommend. We went on Thanksgiving Day. We were told to get in line early because there could be long wait times. So we went about 30 minutes early of opening and they were already letting people in. So there was no wait time and it was great! Took us around 20 minutes with no wait time so plan accordingly. I do recommend ordering your tickets in advance as their card readers dont always like to work (they are a cashless venue.) Order your tickets and take a screen shot of your qr code. Also, watch their Facebook page because they do offer discounts from time to time. I added a few photos, but you must go see the lighted tunnels and the light show.

Best Christmas Light Show Ever!! We stopped by on our way from Pigeon Forge to Buffalo, NY and it was totally worth the detour. We got there about 8::30 PM on Sunday and there was nobody in front or behind us. Perfect Timing!!
