Live Edge Artisan

I stopped in after seeing a Facebook post and great Google reviews. Do yourself a favor and do the same. Scott and Cal were awesome to work with. I bought a table off the show floor and they made me a custom stand and a bench to go with it. When they were dropping it off we talked about our ideas for the rest of the dining room. Scott found us 3 AMAZING slabs of black walnut to match the table- one was a solid 14 feet! He is truly an artist and cares deeply about getting things right. You'll be happy with the price as well compared to others in this trade.

Live Edge Artisan is an amazing place to visit, and to aquire an heirloom piece of art. We solved a breakfast bar problem in a spectacular way. Cal took the time to walk us through all of the options and educated us to help us choose the solution that worked best. The cherry table matched our cabinets beautifully. He designed and manufactured the base for both style and functionality. He even worked with us to increase our counter stools to bar height. Scott and Joann provide outstanding service are are very helpful in the selection of just the right slabs. I am an amateur/hobbyist woodworker and their selection of different species is the best quantity and quality I have ever seen (I have been to most of the sources of live edge slabs in Detroit area). Scott was very helpful with his knowledge on different species and advice on how to complete the project. JoAnn spent a considerable time with my daughter's family understanding their likes and picking a very unique large walnut slab to be used on their dinning room table. I you are looking for a custom piece of furniture build from a true artiest/craftsmen or a beautiful slab for your own project, I couldn't recommend a better place.

I don't even know how to write a review good enough for Scott & Joanne. We were looking for something unique for our spare bathroom renovation. That's what brought us to Live Edge Artisan. First we were mesmerized by the amazing selection of live edge pieces. Scott and Joanne were so patient with us as we painstakingly looked through their beautiful inventory. They helped us pick out the perfect pieces for our bathroom counter & floating shelf. Their attention to detail in cutting, sanding and finishing the pieces was truly the best. I still have a small piece left over from our project that I can't wait to go back to them to turn it into something amazing. They are simply the best!

Just picked up a new custom made fireplace mantle piece. We weren't looking for a live edge look and of course the business is more than accommodating. Making it perfect, just how we wanted. Can't wait to get this installed but it had to be the new centerpiece in our family room . P.s. the owner was extremely friendly and you can tell he has a passion for his craft
