LM Port Parking - South Garage

Whether their North Garage or their South Garage, this is the same business engaging in deceptive practices, so beware. Their big sign up front says "Retail Self-Park" but their rates were anything but suitable for shoppers visiting nearby retail stores. They charged me and lots of other upset drivers $40 (regardless of duration of parking, even for a few minutes, in my case it was 3 hours for which their charge should have been $10 for 2 - 4 hours)) on Saturday afternoon of April 19. How? They removed the displayed rates up front and disabled their pay stations. Once you enter the lane to get your ticket (cannot reverse there even if you notice this sign) they have a leaflet saying "Event Parking, $40 full day" and "No hourly parking available." Their “event rate” of over double was not posted online. I was expecting to pay $16 for 12 hours of parking, I drive an hour to get there, and they have a piece of paper saying it was now $40. They need to disclose event parking price and effective dates on their website. I will not be using this service again.

I’ve used many parking garages for monthly parking in the past and this was my first truly positive experience. The people in the office are very friendly, helpful and accommodating and I really appreciate how they make things easy. I also like that my car was never damaged in any way while parking here, while other garages I’ve parked in have caused some white pipe leaks on my car that are hard to remove etc

I came in before the 4th of July event. Was told that pricing for that night would be higher than usual, which was fine. I made it clear that I would be staying several days, which they told me was fine and would be at the normal rate. Instead, I was charged the holiday rate for all days, which was exorbitant and a clear ripoff. Location is excellent, however. And this problem would presumably not appear if you manage to enter without getting a "special" sticker on your ticket.

Found good parking at 9:30 in a Friday night, and parked till Monday. Instead of spending a minimum of $250 for parking my small suv in the city for 3 nights I spent $120 to have a scenic night time NY skyline boat ride and safe parking. Well worth it.
